Join us for a day of stories and discovery for children ages 3–12, featuring award-winning children’s author Adam Gidwitz. Hosted at the MOST Museum of Science & Technology, this special festival will bring together a local storytellers, hands-on folk art creativity stations, opportunities for kids to tell create and tell their own stories, and of lots of family fun.

Welcome & Festival Opening (9:30 am)
VIP Sticker Signing with Adam Gidwitz (9:45 am)
Six or more CNY storytellers (9:30 am - 4 pm) performing one of their works every hour.
Hands-on Folk Art Activity Stations (9:30 am - 4 pm) that allow children to tell their own stories - through art, illustration, prose, and the technology of video and sound recording.
A New Fairytale Authored by Syracuse’s Children (10:30 am - 11:30 am): Adam Gidwitz, author and storyteller, will present a modern take on a NEW Grimm fairy tale. Gidwitz works with the children in the audience to create the imagery and literary commentary of the fairy tale, making the words and reactions of the children an intrinsic part of the story itself.
Mac & Cheese Lunch (11:30 am - 1:30 pm): Snacks, beverages, and Mac & Cheese will be on hand for sale at the festival.
Storytellers the Art & Profession (7:00 pm): a panel discussion hosted by
Parthenon Books, composed of professional storytellers, discussing working in the field of fables as an artist and professional.
